Pippo Vincent Monastra nasceu 1957 em Acquedolci em Sizilia. Morou muitos anos em Stuttgart, Alemanha antes de decidir 1997 partir para Portugal e consentrar-se totalmente na sua pintura. Pense na dificidade "Desenho com óleo sobre tela" nos ultimos seis anos inventou uma técnica especial para pintar em azuleijos. Por as nosas infomaçães é unica. Pippo Vincent Monastra Ich wurde 1957 in Acquedolci, in Sizilien, geboren und lebte viele Jahre in Stuttgart, bevor ich mich 1997 entschloss nach Portugal zu gehen, um mich ganz der Malerei zu widmen. Neben dem Schwerpunkt "Öl auf Leinwand" entwickelte ich in den letzten sechs Jahren eine spezielle Technik auf Kacheln zu malen. Meines Wissens nach ist dies Einzigartig. Die Motive meiner Bilder sind nicht an konkreten Vorlagen orientiert - sie entstehen nicht nach Modellen. Immer wiederkehrend sind Gesichter und Körper, teilweise bzw. größtenteils erst auf den zweiten, dritten und vierten Blick erkenntlich. Trotz einer Unmenge an verschiedenen Stilen und Techniken ist dies doch als eine der Grundlinien meiner Werke erkennbar - lassen Sie sich die Zeit sie zu entdecken!

His main focal point has been his work on canvass but he also developed during the last six years a special technique to work on ceramic tiles. This is according to our knowledge unique. The motives of his pictures are not taken from life modelling. Frequent themes in his work is the human face and body sometimes so subtle that they are only recognizable at second third or fourth glance. Despite a variety of styles and techniques there is a definite signature in his work.
